Pat Jakopchek moved to Washington in 2008 to pursue his graduate education and has called the 3rd Ward home ever since. The vice-chair of ANC 3F, Pat helped establish the Soapstone and Melvin Hazen, Parks & Trails Committee, which he chairs.
As commissioner, Pat has prioritized increasing pedestrian safety, preserving our recreational areas, ensuring responsible development and maintaining our sidewalks and roads. He is committed to continuing the growth of our strong, vibrant community by engaging residents and acting as our voice within local government. He helped guide the design and development of ANC 3F’s new website in 2015, creating a more useful and usable tool for local residents.
In addition to his work on the ANC, Pat serves on Van Ness Main Street’s Economic Development Subcommittee.
Pat is a partner at Local Politechs Strategies, a progressive political and technology consulting firm. He holds a Masters Degree in Public Communication from American University and a B.A. in Political Science from Saint Louis University.
Pat, his wife Sharon, and their dog Nula call 3883 Connecticut home.
